I've got a lot of respect for Chavez, but I honestly think Floyd's defense and quickness would allow him to take a decision. Chavez didn't fair as well against guys quicker than him. Pernell Whitaker and Meldrick Taylor were both robbed of victories against Chavez, and I think Mayweather's better than Taylor in his prime, and very similar to Sweet Pea, except with more power. No offense to Chavez fans intended... that's just my opinion. It really could go either way.

Mayweather has faster hand than chavez yes true but Chavez would slow him down with those left hooks he was great for. and i dont think Mayweather could take a clean punch from Chavez. I agree that Taylor's hand speed was slightly superior to Floyd's but his defense was not nearly as good. I don't necessarily think that Chavez is leaps and bounds better than Castillo, either.
