        That's why this talk about Showtime/GBP making truckloads of money from Mayweather fights is bogus. Thurman can't get competitive fights because GBP is broke. They can only afford undercard money. They have the most number of stars but they're not even fighting. Many of them are on a long layoff.

          Showtime will need to see a significant ratings bump in the second half of the year you'd think. That's probably what they should be judged on. They can't keep throwing money around like confetti for ratings like these though. What's the point? They were getting the same ratings for less money a few years ago.

                    Because it usually means whether they can be on air or not. luckily with Showtime, they'll just stick a fighter who doesn't do so well on the undercard of somebody who does

                      It seems about right for that card, no big names, none of the fights were overly compelling going in and the first fight was rather lackluster which is not usually good for overall viewership.
