That's what happens when you raise a silver spoon into superstardom.

Why do I sense Al Haymon will somehow play a role in Jr career in the near future. I doubt Haymon has spoken with him, but someone has clearly been talking to Jr about future options. These contract extensions have typically been a small formality in TR, but somehow have now become points of contention.

Apparently al haymon is interested in signing chavez. That would mean chavez working with golden boy and showtime and put the fight in jeopardy. Arum is frustrated that hes seen de la hoya, cotto and mayweather leave him and becoming free agents and make an absolute fortune without him. He doesnt want chavez jr to do the same nor bradley or pacqauio.

Yes, you deduced correctly, Sherlock Holmes. Al Haymon has already offered JCC Jf a multi-million dollar contract. About $47M IIRC. Ridiculous amount for someone of Chavez' ability, but i see this more as Haymon/GBP trying to get at Bob than actually valuing Chavez so highly. They would likely put a stipulation in the contract that he has to keep winning against big names to earn all that. Once he loses they would probably drop him or pay him a lot less, yet they would have spoiled it for Bob. Dirty tricks is all this is, imo.

With Chavez and Mikey, the snake is flat out scamming them (which he is still doing with Manny) and they have all the rights to contest what is their rights. Manny is set until he retires, $15 to $20 mil a fight until he retires? Why not? If he leaves TR even for one fight, he is not guaranteed a big money fight against Floyd.
