That being said, remember Pacquiao is not a business man and clearly has no desire of doing that so I think he just feels comfortable working for Arum instead of having to find new people he can trust to help him do everything by himself. So maybe he just have that COMFORT with Arum

GBP seems to be a mess right now, wouldn't be a good idea to make that jump when Schaefer and Oscar are probably not on the same page at the moment
But he wouldn't have to technically sign with them. He'd just need them do the heavy lifting and co-promote the fight. Cotto didn't signed with them when he fought Floyd. I think Floyd or they both paid the fees to GBP to co-promoted the fight. Do you really think Oscar and Richard wouldn't straighten out their beef if Manny were to become a free agent and were open to fight some of their best fighters on the roster like, Canelo, Garcia, Khan, Matthysse, etc?

There wouldn't be an issue since Arum wouldn't be involved and Oscar only has the intention of working with Arum because he want to make certain fights with Manny, so with Manny as a free agent and Arum out of the picture entirely, Oscar wouldn't give a **** about making amends to Arum and would be on the same page as Richard.

Probably like most people I think signing an extension is a bad choice for PAC should go independent and make the most $ while he can, plus more exciting options without TR.

I can't think of 5 fights that interest me with Manny & TR stable.

Here's hoping he signs and it finally puts and end to all of the Floyd/Manny bull**** this site has been riddled with since 2009.

That conversation is a ****ing cancer that infects everything on this website.

If those suckers at GBP who are getting $3 mill max want a shot at Pacquiao than do like Tim Bradley and sign with Top Rank. They pay the best and Tim Bradley would know.

            1 mill for Casamayor
            5 mill for Pacquiao 1
            2 mill for Prov
            3 mill for JMM
            6 mill for Pacquiao 2

This dude is making more than everyone at 140 and 147 on GBP combined
Of course you don't see a problem with it..jesus christ you pacboys are a strange bunch...

yeah but Pacquiao clearly not thinking that way, I think he feels safe with Arum and I am sure Arum can "GUARANTEE" a Certain Amount of money instead of taking and chance trying to make money on your own. Lets not make Mayweather out to be a GENIUS, Al Haymon is dong all the work to keep that Money Train going. Pacquiao without Arum, unless he signs with Haymon would be taking a HUGE RISK going out and making things on his own.

Best post I've seen all day. Even though I've constantly said that i no longer care about this fight anymore, but i still get drawn into talking about it. The new contract extension would definitely be the final nail in the coffin for this fight.

Manny is clearly demonstrating what a small group of fans have been arguing for years. All smoke and mirrors.

Don't get me wrong, I wanted to see the fight, too. But that was back in 2009 when both guys were still in their prime and it was seen as a 50/50 affair. Nowadays both guys are noticeably less threatening than they were then, so it doesn't make sense to me anymore.

In fact, I hate conversations that have anything to do with either guy at this point. Because regardless of what the news about the guy is, the thread always turns into a debate about fighting the other guy. It's ****ing ridiculous.

Hell, even threads about other fighters always deteriorate into a conversation about these two pricks for a variety of reasons. I can't wait until they're both old and retired so everybody can move the **** on.
