You guys enjoy lying to yourselves hoping the facts somehow rearrange themselves to stuff you want to believe, don't you.

it's sad that Pac won't just go home
he got 1 more win and 1 more title
that's all that was needed, the man shouldn't fight anymore
any win looks good for him now because he's shot
but it's not worth the risk of getting damaged

Manny signs that contract and any chance of a Mayweather super-fight is out the door. He has to know that. Manny signing that contract is no different than Stevenson signing with Al Haymon to duck Kovalev.

Thanks for that article. Once again, Bob Arum was wrong! Floyd will leave GBP, he won't do business with them? Well that was 2011. What about Floyd wasn't getting $20 million for a fight against ODLH? Wrong again Bob! Bob's stable has to be seeing what's going on with Haymon fighters. I can't believe they are all as ****** as Manny.

Boxers shouldn't be cherry picking and there should be a mandatory defense system for champions with limited time given to defend it or lose it.

I want to see a strong governing body to revitalize the sport.
              Good post.

but every suggestion and solution you offered will most likely take a lot of time to become reality. Your suggestions are ok, but we as fans are in the here and now and we wanna see as many great matchups as possible. And the majority thinks we will see those if pacman fights at showtime starting 2015.

              regardless if he gets mayweather...

IMO, I think the short answer is it takes a savvy adviser or manager to negotiate "free agent" deals with a promoter and it's clear Koncz is not that type of adviser.

I dont completely agree, atleast Stevenson is going to the other side to potentially earn more money.

                      Read for yourself:

"Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions hasn’t worked on a fight of substance with his former promoter and on-again, off-again rival, Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotions, in five years. But De La Hoya, declaring himself “back and better than ever” as the president of Golden Boy, told The Times on Tuesday that he recently engaged Arum in conversation about ending boxing’s cold war that has blocked several attractive fights from happening. One fight that De La Hoya says he’s interested in pursuing is a super-bout between Arum’s star fighter, Manny Pacquiao, and Golden Boy’s top star, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.“Anything’s possible,” De La Hoya said. “That’s one of the reasons I was extending the olive branch. The fans want to see these kinds of fights.”

"Friday's turn of events made that pretty clear. There have been previous negotiations and lots of rhetoric. At various times throughout this whole ordeal, I believe both sides have been to blame. But at this moment, the fault of a fight not being made falls squarely on the shoulders of Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who, in my view, simply doesn't want to make the match at a moment when there seems to be no legitimate impediment. Arum doesn't want to match his cash cow, Pacquiao, with somebody he doesn't control, and he has no control over Mayweather. He once did, but that was years ago, before their nasty breakup."
