A lot of you guys are slow. Mathysse won in dominating fashion by KO. His flask knock downs didn't even have no bearing on the score.

John Molina has fight changing power, and outside of a few punches he got PUMMELED.

Molina is known to smash guys faces in with one punch.

No he's not washed up, he didn't fight smart though but made adjustments while fighting a war to get the scintillating finish.

He is not washed is that Garcia took his prime. That is all.

Lucas started slow initially, and got caught. It can happen to anyone.
He was regularly getting rattled with shots to the back of the head too, and the ref did nothing. I'm amazed how big Molina looked for a career lightweight

I've stated before and I will say it again, Molina is a big dude, he is 5'10 and not a "Billed at 5'10" he is actually that height, he had a 4" height advantage over Matthysse. Molina just fought in the wrong division I believe and as he has moved up he's developed a stronger stance and solid background to be able to throw with more power.

Matthysse in my opinion underestimated him, and I for sure didn't. I am still a Matthysse fan and he just got clocked by a big puncher on the night, no one is capable of being invincible to every boxer out there.

Matthysse really needs to head over to the Garcia gym as that will make him the most complete fighter.

As for Big John, I can't wait to see his next fight and I can guarantee you it won't be going the distance with his increased power at 140

Hes still good at throwing pinpoint combinations.. that ending sequence was a beauty. His jab looks good..more of a classic boxer type jab. Of course, I feel his chin isnt as good as advertised... maidana.. porter.. thurman.. all probably hurt Matthysse.. he should stay at 140 the boys at 147 just hit too hard for him at this point.

No not at all, but his style of fighting doesn't offer much longevity and he needs to try to line up some big fights soon before he finds himself on the other end of brutal war. A different trainer would help as well (Garcia, Roach). He struggled with Molina, but that's partly because Molina isn't as bad as people made him out to be. In reality I think Lucas has only lost one fight (Garcia), I'd say he's doing pretty good so far.

all i know is i came out of that fight having more respect for molina than i did matthysse.

i'm still a fan of matthysse, but i felt that it wasn't a very good look for him and i believe a guy like provodnikov would give him hell.

First, how do you ask if a fighter who gets up off the canvas twice to score a KO is washed up? It takes a lot of heart, determination and skill to do that. Second, did you see how much physically larger Molina is than Matthysse? That he has the power to overcome that beast is saying something. Finally, if you're going to question a man's mettle, at least know how to spell his name correctly!

No, the machine is still the machine. He chopped down a big tree at the weekend.
