I'm not a Floyd fan but I don't really care whether or not he loses the zero. I just want to see him challenged, because it gets boring watching him coast through fights and bank round after round with very few significant moments.
I just want to see an entertaining fight.
If he fought and cruised to a decision vs Wlad Klit, people would still say "he didn't challenge himself. He should've exchanged more with him....he's boring..."
The man is a BOXER, he boxes, excellently, simple as that.
Is it his fault that absoloutely no one is on his level?
He already jumped to the highest weight class his body will allow.
He cant barely weigh over 150-151.
He's pushed himself to the limit and no one notices.

Absolutely not. I'm not blaming Floyd. The idea of the sweet science as well all know is to hit and not be hit. And ultimately, to come out of the that ring with a W.
When I say I want to see him challenged -- I'm talking about it from the opposition's side of things.
I have to admit I seem like a hater because I always root against him, not because I don't like him, he's very entertaining in the media but he seems to be fighting my favorite fighters ( cotto, canelo, maidana, soon khan ect.) now as far as his level of competition I'm not that impressed with who he fought at the time he fought them, for example cotto - past due Mosley - past due, delahoya - past due, if and when he fights pac man - past due, now to give him credit I was surprised he took the canelo fight but in reality we as fans got caught up in the hype about Canelo but you are only as good as your competition and he hasn't fought anybody relevant besides trout. Not saying he isn't good but we jumped on him to early just like Thurman and berto, only time will tell. And another thing is I would like him to lose because every great boxer has has a rival Ali/Fraizer, sugar ray/hurns, paquaio/jmm (just to name a few)and because of his greatness or management he beats everybody easily the last real challenge where he was officially losing more than 3 rounds was against Oscar and zab Judah almost 10 yrs ago I would like him to fight Lara that seems like that's the last hope for the Floyd haters

Problem is no one can match him speed for speed, wits, skills, stamina, ring smarts, etc., etc., all-in-one, which is why folks seem forced to want to match him with the Matinez's, Laras, and Klitchko's who outweigh him by 15-20+lbs.
I dont pick every opponent to trouble May... but Maidana is definitely going to put the heat on.
How would any real boxing fan give maidana a chance? Who has Chino beat? Broner is nowhere near mayweather level. Did you see what Khan did to maidana during the first 6 rounds? When maidana gets hit he freezes up. Mayweather doesn't miss an opportunity to get a shot in. if you guys don't see things that are such common sense then you better smarten up....you need common sense to get thru every day life.

It's not his fault those guys didn't want to fight him in their primes. Floyd pursued those guys, and each one had an excuse not to fight him when it really mattered.
One of the reasons Floyd became his own boss.
Granted, he still fought them when they were on top and were coming off decent/big wins, with title belts (DLH, Cotto) and at higher weights (DLH, Cotto @ 154lbs.).
Oscar was granted the advantages and all the amenities he felt he needed to win... and he still lost.
Canelo was mere icing on the cake.
Haters conveniently leave out those facts. But we understand. It's what you want to believe and not give Floyd credit for.

Then why did people want to see him face Pacquiao? Pacquiao is smaller than Mayweather.
Also, if Floyd doesn't want to fight people at 154 he should give up his title there.

I dont just look at old tape, unlike others I could call out... I follow all recent training footage as well and Maidana is training in beast mode like never before. He will be more dangerous to the body than May.. who rarely commits or sits down on his shots because he's always thinking about getting reset defensively.
Also Ive watched Floyds recent mittwork and he seems to have lost half a step.
Floyd says hes taking Maidana seriously but there is such a wealth of idiots out there saying Maidana is slow.. dumb.. predictable and so on that it is inevitably going to effect even May's perception a bit. As one who has seen all the training footage he can get his hands on, I can tell you Maidana is coming to this fight with more handspeed, power and even speed of foot (thanks to interval track work with Ariza.) Than mos t anyone expects. May the best man win.
but keep referencing old tape from before Chino got with the team that has progressed him so far in terms of mindset, conditioning, and technique.. as if such an obsolete measuring stuck is even remotely relevant. I have my method.. people like you have yours.
