You clearly did not read my opening statement. Of course it's meant as insult to Mayweather. People would rather discredit Chino than give credit to Mayweather. That's how petty and hateful they are.

For the record I like Chino and do not consider him a bum, the guy is has a lot of heart and a fighter's mentality, but he's been cherrypicked.

Maidana is ranked as the #8 contender, why doesn't he fight some of the other guys above him.

Hell, Maidana lost to Alexander, Alexander lost to Porter, Mayweather should be fighting Porter. Thurman is ranked above Maidana, why not fight him. There are also some good JMW fights that could be made too.

Maidana's style is tailor made for Floyd, anyone who knows anything about boxing will tell you this.

Alexander has wins over Maidana, Bailey, Matthysse (arguable), Witter, Kotelnik. His resume is not bad at all, Porter beat him recently and therefore he should rank higher than him in the food-chain. If you check out the RING welterweight rankings you'll see that Porter and Thurman are ranked above Maidana. It's also a pity we probably can't see Mayweather fight Pacquiao and Bradley (#1 & 2 contenders) partly because of politics. This is also one of the weakest points in the welterweight division in the last decade.

There are also interesting fights for Mayweather at 154, Lara, Andrade, Molina, Charlo, etc. would all make interesting competitive fights.

He's not a bum but mayweathers that good and people know because of his style it'll most likely be a long 12 round UD. They Prbly also remember that he was beat pretty easily by Devon Alexander and mayweather is far more skilled then Alexander is. Add the fact that because he beat broner people think he'll beat Floyd and anybody with a brain knows that's just not true. But I don't think it's a **** fight Marcos maidana's ferocity and big power still give him a chance even if it's a slim one but it's basically the best fight Floyd can make in his division he obviously doesn't wanna fight at 154 unless it's for even bigger money and the Cold War prevents any fight versus bradely or PAC and the other fighters in the division don't have enough name value so he's stuck with this. I don't think Marcos will win but anythings possible.
