Golota throwing a three punch combination to Bowe'e balls happened in a split second but it doesn't make it any more legal. Garcia landed a rabbit punch with his forearm then pulled him down by the back of the neck and pushed him into the ropes and threw a combination when his upper body was tied up under the top rope all of which was illegal.

It happens when you have an incompetent or corrupt ref and considering the lack of warnings or deductions for clinching and low blows i would guess the latter.

I wouldn't consider that a good example because he'd been hitting him low all night before that plus there's a big difference between that and hitting a guy when he's in the ropes. It's a call that could easily be made and that kind of thing happens all the time in Boxing.

Either way he punched him, dropped him and it was called.

Going to be a fun night of boxing. Could've been a great card if they would have matched them up against better competition or dare I say Thurman vs Matthysse.

Diaz can box and if he can take Thurman's power we'll have a good main event. It's always good to see the machine in action
