I love seeing both these guys fight and I love seeing the best fight the best. The first fight was close. Danny won, Lucas has a legit claim about the eye. It's not like he was being dominated and then his eye shut and he's blaming that and it's not like he lost 120-108. It was a close fight and an arguement could be made that things would have been different had the eye not swelled. Sign me up, I'd love to see this fight again.

it's such a shame garcia turned out to be a ducker. he gave morales a rematch even though he dominated the first fight but he's avoiding matthysse and herrera. if garcia won't face peterson or broner, then he's the next biggest ducker of all time, next to mayweather

Garcia was dictating that fight before the eye started swelling which happened because Garcia punched Matthysse in the eye.

Beig punched in the eye is part of boxing, have a bone fracture and your eye swell shut in the process is not nececarily "part of boxing." Out of a hundred punches in the eye this might happen 5-10 times maximum? I'm not saying it was a lucky punch, but the competitive edge in that fight was GONE after that eye closed, regardless if it was to the credit or the discredit of Danny Garcia. The fight was close and competitive before the eye closed regardless of who was winning or who won. There's no denying that.

And for the record I think Mathysse is highly beatable and I commend Garcia for doing it the hard way, which is go right through him.

There's a lot easier ways imo to beat Mathysse. Movement and keep him off balance. Danny Garcia decided he was gonna punch his way through Mathysse and was successful. But imo, all roads lead back to the eye!
