A question for my Latino fight fans.

Are you guys slowly becoming Floyd fans? Like the English did once he knocked out Ricky Hatton. As some of you know I work in Vegas. More and more I'm seeing Latinos from all over America and mainly Mexico come out to the fights. Before the fight they always root against Floyd but after the fight. I ask my clients about the fight and why did they come? They always respond with I knew Floyd was gonna win but I still wanted to come. A lot of them openly tell me they think no one could beat mayweather. They go on about fight weekend is always the best when mayweather fighter. They love the craziness and the partying that goes on. I also see a large group of ppl who was rooting for Floyd Saturday wearing Mexican flag money team shirts Sunday. So are you guys quietly becoming may weather fans or nah?

As a latino fan, I have been a floyd fan since he got a gift against DLH. race plays no part in who I like/follow as a fighter, fighting style, mentality, story, and character make me like/follow a fighter, as evidenced by my list in my sig.

Though if I have no rooster in the fight and one of the two is latino, I will support my people first, just like in sports in the US, if I have no team playing, I root for the closest (preferably a cali) team.

I disagree with the comments about Mexicans not liking blacks, I just think they are neutral, nothing for them or against them.

Puerto Ricans and blacks seem to get along VERY good, in NY, NJ and even down South, Atlanta, from where I have family.

I wouldn't say that Mexicans don't flat out like blacks though, I know blacks have nothing against Mexicans.

Now where I stay Whites don't like Mexicans str8 out.
And down south I noticed that Asians don't seem to like Whites.

I generally like you as as poster but I can't let this one slide, this is just plain ignorance. Latinos can't "not like blacks" because black is a color of skin and latino is a person who is a mix of indigeonous people of the americas, and spanish conquistadores.

There are tons of black latinos, i.e. dominicans for example have more than not.

My freaking uncle is more black than roger mayweather, my cousin is lighter than canelo alvarez, there is no standard, we are a mixed people.

I had the time of my life I'm 6'4 260 so I'm a big boy. I drank and I danced with all of the little Mexican women there. Granted I was the first black person many have ever seen at a family gathering. I was there for 6. Days and when I left all of the family even the small kids hugged me some were even crying like I was a long lost member of the family. Oh yea and Ramon Ayala tragos de amargo licor. Is one of my top five favorite songs of all time.

That has nothing to do with them not liking each other that has to do with ****** areas with ignorant people of all races, I grew up in that environment too, and I don't count it, if half of the ****ers had a decent education they would (hopefully, I did) realize how ignorant that ****** they look and would have a different thought process. They hate other people and vica versa because that's all they know, not because they have a valid reason for it, that's a terrible example, those people don't make up the majority of the population and are a poor sample size of it. You can't point to the projects and say "look, these people act this way so all people like them act this way also" because that is pure ignorance.

Real adults, real members of society, people with an education. sound minded, intelligent adults, most understand the difference between color and culture, nationality and race, etc.

So back to my original point, blacks are very often latinos themselves, like my uncle for example, and while there does exist certain heirarchies in latinoamerica as far as complexion goes, the notion that there is hate between them is both false, exaggerated, and really only truly apparent in the slums and streets, which like I said above, doesn't count for so many reasons. Those are barely even people to begin with, and I can say that because I was one of them too, before I woke up, grew up, and got an education and a career and became a respectful member of society.

For the record, I am also from nor cal and grew up in a heavy X14 environment and embraced it, before I changed.

I have always admired Mayweather's skills, technique and reflexes. But he cherrypicks a lot, I don´t think he is a brave fighter and I also dislike how he behaves outside of the ring.
