If you pay for Showtime you got the fight it wasn't a PPV.
The Pac vs Tim bout was a PPV on HBO.

The Pac vs Tim was miles above the Showtime show, the fights were horrible and once again Bernard fights a nobody and still moves away and continues the boring style he now "walks through"!

Pac & Tim had more action in 4 rounds than the entire Showtime event.
If you want people to put out money the undefeated record always can be played and the best seller will be someone who could PUNCH! Not pitty pat guys who move away all night and never try to dominate and stop their opponents. Both Bernard & Floyd throw one punch at a time the majority of the time and that's what makes their fights boring. Showing ringmanship and boxing skills is one thing but they need to work in combination to really be appreciated.
The one punch at a time is to eliminate their opponents trying to punch with them. That's how they eliminate any exchange chances. Sorry to me that's not exciting but they get away with it because all their opponents don't use high rate action in the fights, their pretty boring also hahahaha!!! Ray.

The strategies employed by the two companies is pretty interesting at the moment. Essentially all Showtime have been doing is outspending HBO, whereas HBO have been largely passive and at this point look like they're waiting for Showtime to punch themselves out.

Where's it all heading? Can Showtime continue to throw money around like confetti indefinitely? Can HBO just continue to do nothing while their rivals sabotage their main projects? I guess the ratings will decide, but in the end at least one of them is going to have to change course.

In my biz I made alotta mistakes on the way up. Difference though is, I learned. And my company is very small. So then we have TR and GB not willing to work together, right alongside HBO and Showtime not willing to work together. They COULD figure this thing out so it works for the whole sport. THEY have actual employees who could put their heads together and come up with a solution. Or maybe they feel there's no problem... as they are making plenty of money. Who knows. All I know is it is bad for the sport.
