Well first they'll say Lara was hurt, took a dive, Canelo was to big, or wasn't prepared etc. Anything to discredit Canelo.

Then I'm sure they'll say he's ducking Kid Chocolate, GGG, Ward's name might even be thrown around. Molina's name will pop up.

It's sad to see this fight mired by the pro-Canelo and anti-Canelo crowd.

I'm a big fan of both guys, Lara, with his height and reach advantage will be just as difficult as Trout was, add to that a southpaw stance and some solid skills and you have a tough night for Canelo.

But the Cinnamon Warrior has his own attributes, he is quick, sharp reflexes, an improving defense and knows how to finish a fight. Not to mention he probably hits harder than Lara and has a better chin. His stamina is limited so I think this fight will be won or lost in rounds 7-12, it's when Trout really came into his own and when Canelo tired against an ageing Mosley.

A real 50/50 clash, I still can't predict who will win but I'll edge it to Canelo.

The problem is people here are already making excuses for Lara.
If the fight is indeed a close fight but Canelo edges it, people here will give him no credit. People say Lara has to KO Canelo to win, but Canelo has to be the one to KO Lara in order to earn the respect he deserves.

Canelo beat Trout. It was close but clear and the open scoring ruined what would have been a good finish. I thought Canelo had an easy time with Trout as far as limiting his offense and negating the jab. Canelo was the fighter who landed the cleaner, harder blows. The problem was Canelo wasn't active enough and Trout's activity led to him winning some rounds. Canelo was on cruise control in that fight because they already knew the scores and they were far ahead. It wasn't a great performance but it was a solid victory for Canelo.

I think I'm leaning towards Canelo beating Lara in a very tough fight. It's so interesting because both of these fighters have weaknesses but which one can expose the other's flaws.
