There was the Hatton fight. There was the Trout fight. There was the dumbass scorecard vs Mayweather. And then there was the bull**** with Angulo and the weight. Is that enough controversy for you?

The fight vs Lara is still 2 months out and theyre already on some fishy **** too. He didn't have a problem with fighting Trout for the very same belt right? Now all of the sudden he "doesn't care" for it. GTFO.

He doesn't give a shi* about the belt because this is in all likely hood his last fight at 54. He is clearly wanting the Cotto/Martinez winnner next, a fight that would take place at 60.
Why the **** would he want to pay for a pointless belt, if he will never defend it?

Fight is a toss up of two guys at a great point in their careers, young enough to have a future and old enough to have established some legit boxing roots. I'm iffy on Lara's ability to absorb on the ropes and i'm iffy on Canelo's mentality if the fight doesn't go his way early on. Who is on the undercard for this? A win or loss won't break either man at this point.

Lara is going to get layed out cold, he's going to relize the boxing skill and power is to much to handle once Canelo lands the big blows from round one that he's in some serious trouble.if Angulo could land his blows and hurt Lara, what makes you think Canelo won't be able to.he has way better boxing skill and power won't out a serious hurting on Lara, once Canelo lands that first heavy blow Lara will be retreating and acting like a hurt puppy crying like punk.

You can't compare fights ,every fight is different ,I could truly see an early stoppage by Canelo because of his body attack ,I just don't see Lara taking rib cage punches all night. Lara is Mayweather who reflex's are the best in the game when seeing punches. In this interview it was never mention on how or why he got floored twice.

Lara's going to school him 10 rounds to 2, maybe 9 rounds to 3 if Canelo's in the best shape of his life. I wouldn't rule out a late KO win for Lara though.

Lol u guys really think Canelo cant make 154 anymore? I think its jus that his body hadnt adjusted fully after dropping to 152 against mayweather and everyone acts like its such a huge deal for one damn pound and yall act like he does it every ****ing fight. They're so quick to proclaim a fighter the new killer or p4p guy without really seeing his resume.

Remember how everyone a year ago were elevating Trout as the new king of the ring, and a guy that even Mayweather wouldn't step in the ring with?
Funny thing is now all of the sudden no one ever said that, and they knew Trout wasn't that good.

Same will happen here with Lara. Everyone thinks Lara is this new killer, but they're confusing him with his country men Rigondeaux.
