What did he do that makes him the champ at 140? Beat Gatti? That's not exactly cleaning out the division.

And while I'd rather see him fight Judah than Baldomir, beating Judah isn't going to make him the champ at 147 either.

And for your info, the fight was signed AFTER the Baldomir fight.
Floyd offered Hatton a fight in 2004, another one in 2005 and AGAIN after the Judah loss. Challenge me to prove it.

Notice that the Hatton camp never says that PBF is ducking them. Only the Hatton ****lickers who don't know the sport say that.

What was Floyd gonna stay at 140 for? Bigger and better fights available at 147.

Overstated hypoerbole is all this is. Floyd is loved by many. Many think he is unbeatable despite poor performances vs Jose Luis Castillo, who some people have the nerve to call a "bum".

Floyd is very good, but not unbeatable.

I agree with this post. There were several big fights to be made at 140.

This only proves that the Hatton camp does not talk ****. I'm not saying PBF is ducking Hatton; but Hatton isn't ducking PBF. That fight will happen, barring an upset before then.

I think PBF may be one of the best fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves, and I think he's making mostly good decisions in going for the money fights rather than fighting strictly for belts. We all know that there is a lot of politics in crowning someone champion. Several have held it who don't deserve it in the past few years.

All that said, I don't like PBF at all. He's too ****y for my tastes, and I look forward to the day he gets his ass handed to him, though I'm not sure that will happen in his prime, which seems neverending. it wouldn't be as sweet seeing a past-his-prime PBF taken down a notch, though if it's all I can get, I'll gladly take it.

I challenge you to give me the purse splits. Mayweather wanted a 60-40 split. Mayweather for as good as he is, cant sell out an arena in his own hometown. Hatton can sell out any arena in Europe, where Mayweather also refused to hold the fight.

Personally I think Mayweather will handle Hatton, but he needs to get a grip on his own worth if he plans to bait these guys into big bouts.

I disagree. 1st of all Hatton didnt want to fight him yet no matter what the money was and 2nd Floyd is the big name. Where not talking about Europe because Floyd wont fight there. In the US no one cares about Hatton, yet and Floyd is the #4# king with the better resume.

If it was in Europe then it should be 50/50, and thats even cutting it close because even though Hatton will sell the fight, Floyd is still the king and is traveling to Hattons back yard to fight him which is a huge disadvantage. Its not like a foreign fighter coming to the US. They still would have some fans and the US fighter would have the crowd but it wouldnt be dominant. When you go over to fight Hatton it is like you against the whole country and everyone and there momma is on his side. No one wants to fight in a place like that and e****ally after they see him getting away with some dirty tactics

But Floyd still isn't a big draw, even in the States. He's a great fighter but has zero following beyond those that know the sport well. He only gets a crowd when people come to see his opponent, like in the Gatti fight.

Mayweather is the best pound-for-pound in boxing today no doubt. But his gang-****er attitude, domestic abuse, well-documented estrangement from his father, ducking of certain fighters while making exagerrated claims, etc., put a lot of people off. He hasn't really made an honest attempt to clean up the fight picture in his various weights, which puts him in the same boat as a lot of other good fighters nowadays who are looking more at paydays and risks than honest fights.
