    I kinda agree with McLeechin.

I don't think Porter is ready right now. And losing badly, by outpointing him, will take a hit on his confidence. And the other thing is that, his flaws will be exposed. He has flaws now, but no one will expose them as badly as Floyd would. For the reasons McLeechin outlined and some of what I'm saying -- it's the reason why Danny Garcia is staying away from Floyd, at least for now.

The only reason I would argue Porter should take the fight anyway is because of the payday. Other than that, it's not a good idea.

I knew it going in. I still don't understand how people deluded themselves. Ortiz was not good.

He chooses Latin fighters because their fan base always pay to see their own fight, no matter who they fight, no matter if it's their last nickel. (Same reason Floyd wanted to fight Khan, to cash in on the UK fan base, no matter that Khan hasn't looked good since 2010). But the other reason Floyd opts for Latin fighters is because he views them as slow, flat footed, one dimensional, not athletic, and unintelligent fighters, period. He'll never fight Porter, he'll never fight Pacquiao. He waited until Mosley and Cotto were well beyond their prime. Nobody in Boxing is more deserving to fight Floyd than Manny Pacquiao. 9 Time World Champion, a global fan base; Floyd still knows Manny is too dangerous, and wants no part of that kind of risk in the ring.

Anyone with fast feet and an aggressive tact can give Mayweather something to think about. Porter, stylistically, is a good man for the job (by default).

This is just another case of Mayweather Derangement Syndrome. Porter beat an average Paulie Malignaggi and a slightly above average Devon Alexander and now he's the man to beat Mayweather? People are quick to forget that he had a less than spectacular showing against ALPHONSO GOMEZ! He is a good aggressive boxer but no one in their right mind should believe he has the skills to beat Floyd Mayweather.

I want Porter to beat Brook first this summer.

But that would be a long ass layoff from then until May. If Floyd fights Khan in September Porter will need a stay busy fight at the end of the year.

Porter vs Thurman, Khan, or maybe Broner worst case scenario. If he wins I think he warrants a look for a Floyd fight.
