... If Al Haymon gives Jr. that amount of money the kid must have earn it... Good for him.
Excellent. Glad to know you're not one of those simpletons.

If it's like this, it's OK...
But what fight? He didn't sign for any fight yet.

Chavez Jr in talks with Al Haymon
          April 18th, 2014

"Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is reportedly in discussions with the high powered adviser Al Haymon, according to Dan Rafael. Chavez Jr. is reported to have been offered $47 million to sign with Haymon, according to es-us.deportes.yaoo.com. Chavez Jr. still has 9 months left on his existing contract with Top Rank, however, and that’s a lot of time left to set up the fight that could send Chavez Jr. to Haymon in stitches against Gennady Golovkin."

          ...
LOL how in the hell will Haymon, who takes like a 5-10% cut of a fighter, ever going to recoup $47 million dollars from JCC Jr?

Either that was a misprint, or some bogus lie coming from somewhere. I am sure Haymon is not in the business of just throwing money away for fun.

          • Unless they meant Peso's, which is about 3.6 million dollars. That would be more understandable.

That is why I believe they are talking about 47 million Peso's which would be about $3.6 million. That would be more believable.

Sounds more realistic... but making that much on regular Showtime is still wayyy too much.

They are not saying what it is for exactly. It could be for 2 fights, or 3. They are not specific enough. It could have been a signing bonus for a long term contract. Not enough specifics.
