In my opinion there is nothing wrong with it. It would have been even better if he had done it anonymously though. That way there would be no question his heart was in the right place and he wasn't just seeking positive publicity.

Yes its true I have made some aggressive threads but I have probably made them on days where I was starving to make weight for boxing. Anybody can get pissed when their blood sugar level is low. Not an exscuse but I'm not some guy who is angry because he is ugly or has no girlfriend, which is obviously the case for some of the dead beats on here.

I like you run, but I find your hate for Tyson disturbing and a little unfounded. Especially in a thread where he does a good deed.

Couldn't have stated it better myself. I'll tell you what...I should have made that clear earlier as well. As far as I am concerned it remains a stunt.

he should just let them collect...then point to the donations at a later time.

Thats the pessimism that I'm talking about. You call a good deed a stunt? Whatever...

You just did make a comparision between Tyson and other cases in your previous post, even though your comment was much broader in range.

But whatever...no matter how much, how little or for whatever reason, anybody who can help out someone in need like what Tyson is doing/did is worthy of some kind of postitive acknowledgment for the particular act of kindness.

Of all the donations made by other fighters on a consitent basis....how come they recieve little or no publicity?

But when Tyson does it....it makes headlines. Sure he's the most famous fighter in and out of the ring, but he is also the most notorious.

This isn't exactly making big headlines, I found it on Tysontalk.com, and to my knowledge it as not made any of the major newspapers in the USA or got any major recogintion.

He gets the attention because he is Mike Tyson, I gurantee you though if it were a bad act, it would be all over.

yeah why would it be a stunt. u think he's tryin to brush off his bad boy image? pleeeeeeeasssssssehe did it cause he wanted to be a nice guy why is that so hard to see. ppl already have there image of mike umbedded in there mind. its not like he's kobe bryant that ****ed up and then all of a sudden he gives a big donation. tyson has done alot of bad things in the past. but saying this is a stunt is straight up dumb. who the hell would he be tryin to impress he's made it known that he doesnt give a **** about the media already. the media has the power cause they can throw out a image of a person and ppl believe it.
