The theory is that if Cotto wins a title at 160 Floyd would get a freebie middleweight belt against a past it fighter he's already beaten, which isn't impossible... but the real problem with this theory is, why would he stick around and defend it?

Lifetime Hopkins fan, but dude is ****ing ****** and I feel embarrassed anytime he mentions fighting Floyd.

Floyd won't even move to 160 for someone like Martinez (who would sell better on PPV), but he's going to move to anywhere from 160-175lbs for a damn near 50 year old man whose been fighting C class opposition on Shobox because his own PPV reputation sucks so badly he can't get back on it?

**** out of here. It'd be the most boring fight ever and, honestly, it's just Hopkins' ego talking. If Floyd fights anybody at 160 it should be the lineal MW champ and nothing more.

As for Hopkins - He should stick to schooling these barely known no-hopers on Shobox and continue to reap unjust rewards for it. If it weren't for his age people would've forgotten about his ass long ago.

Even if the weight difference issue could somehow be resolved this would be the most boring fight in the history of this world and all the other worlds in parallel universes to this one.

I'm could see Floyd fighting B-Hop at 160lbs but that's if Mayweather wins a 160lbs Belt against someone like Martinez or Cotto. I'd be interested in a Hopkins vs. Froch at 175 or 168. Hopkins sounds like a man with only a few fights left in the tank.
