Floyd has always been about the biggest payday with the least risk possible. He recently said he will continue to hand pick opponents as long as the public keeps paying for as much. Floyd would NEVER have gotten in the ring against Hagler or Leonard or Hearns or Duran or Arguello or Pryor... Waaaaay too much risk in those fights, and you got hurt when you fought those guys. What was additionally scary about the legends, they would sign their name to contracts in a heartbeat and give it back to you waiting for you to counter-sign just as timely; and they would. Legends fighting Legends, in their prime, multiple times if needed, Win, Lose, or Draw. That's credible. Those were the original Super Fights. That's never been Floyd's cup of tea. He is motivated by payday, not fighting the best.

Hopkins is trying to motivate himself. Stevenson will be his last fight but its motivating when you have another fight to look forward to after the fight if you don't overlook this opponent.
