On wiki it says none of the eye whiteness identified Artis or Carter as the murderers, so where your getting this from is far from me.

I don't see how you could be banned, even on the grounds of disrespect or something.

This isn't a tribute thread. This is a thread for commenting on the passing of someone, someone who happened to be a piece of ****. It's not ****** nor inconsiderate to not have any emotional investment in a murderer.

Well, I hope the mods see it that way and that people come to realize that Carter was a triple-murderer who got off with just 20 years in prison.

Carter lived in Toronto after he was freed and lived there until his death. I am from Toronto, and am very patriotic and loyal to any of my countrymen. I believed in Carter's innocence and wanted to believe this story really badly (as it makes us Canadians look good - freeing an innocent man and all), but the facts are the facts - and this man was a murderer.

Only Artis was identified by a witness, that's all I said. That statement was later recanted (under very dubious circumstances, I might add). Still, all of the other COMPELLING evidence stands and nobody can refute it. It is fact.

In the book, HURRICAINE, Carter makes the Case,
that Over Zealous, Cops and Prosecutors, Set Him Up....
And a lot of people, after looking at the TRUE FACTS , Agree!!!

I'm sure the people who made the movie spent money looking into this and wouldn't want to glorify a "murderer" .

Come on, is that actually your argument? I can go over all of the way in which that movie was FACTUALLY wrong.

1 - In the movie, there is a racist detective who follows Carter from birth and just generally has it out for him. THIS PERSON DOES NOT EXIST. HE IS LITERALLY COMPLETELY MADE UP FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE MOVIE.

2 - In the movie, Carter is freed because of 'new evidence' that proves his innocence. This evidence also does not exist. There was never any new evidence to suggest that he was innocent and he was released for reasons that had nothing to do with 'evidence' (not being given a fair trial and the fact that too much time had passed).

3 - In the movie, Carter is depicted as defending himself against a crazy white pedophile. This did not happen. Instead, Carter was arrested for beating a man over the head with a club and robbing him of his wallet and watch. This was his 4th juvenile offense.

4 - Carter was depicted as leaving the military as an esteemed and valued soldier. This is not the case. He was released because he was deemed 'unfit' and 'insubordinate'

5 - The movie completely left out the fact that Carter spent 4 years in prison for mugging 3 people and denied parole because he was too aggressive

6 - In the beginning of the movie, Carter is depicted as dominating a white boxer but gets robbed by racist judges. This was not the case. In a close and competitive fight, Joey Giardello beat Carter fair and square. Giardello actually SUCCESSFULLY SUED the producers of the movie for the portrayal of their fight, as it was shown that he won fair and square.

I could go on, but I hope you get the point.
