I couldn't wait to read the comments in this thread because I knew exactly what people were going to sat lmao. Its hilarious how emotional some of u people get over anything Floyd says.

Its also hilarious that he's been fighting people over the last what? 5 years now? - Fighters that people swore that he would avoid because they presented too big of a threat, and yet after he dominates them they go back to the same recycled lines over and over again. Its like groundhog day coming on this site lol.

How much does Floyd pay you to lick his corn hole or you do it for free?

How can you say he didn't fight the best in his own division, and then follow that up with saying he should have fought Martinez? When Martinez is 2 divisions above his main fighting division?

You should've replaced Martinez with Pacquaio, then your argument might've not been delusional. The logic of this forum is crazy.

"I say this to you today and I really believe it and its true, that since Ali, there hasn’t been a better fighter, better boxer than Floyd Mayweather. This young man has the teqhnique and the ability which puts him in my book ahead of such greats as Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler and all the other great fighters that I’ve seen in my career. And there is NOBODY that combines all the skills of Floyd mayweather." -BOB ARUM

Floyd hasn't fought anyone that had a chance other then Canelo since like 2003.
Oscar,Shane and Cotto all past their best and still gave him trouble in Oscar and Cotto. Shane almost had him out with one shot. Never fought Manny,Cotto,Williams,Margarito,Clottey..pretty much anyone who was good at welter from 2007-2009 or 2010.
He retired instead of taking on those guys in their primes. Instead they all beat each other up and he comes back and fights a guy who's at 135.
He gets credit for Canelo but even then he drained the kid to 152 when he had fought at 154 previously.

He may have gone through that list of guys undefeated but after manny destroyed Oscar and Cotto and Hatton the way he did Floyd wanted no part of that little wrecking ball.

He was "hissed"(?) twice in one round by a 38-year-old Mosley.

Martinez offered to fight Floyd at 150 for an 80/20 split after he had already fought De La Hoya and Cotto at 154.

he hasnt fought his chief rival in the last 5 years.

great fighters look for challenges. what would be the bigger challenge, fighting chino or moving up and fighting martinez? that would be a legacy fight. the difference between mayweather and cotto, is cotto isnt afraid to lose.

the pacquiao fight has sailed, he has missed that opportunity now. floyd jumped ship when welterweight was hot, then when he came back he could have fought pacquiao. but he didnt, he fights guys that win paper titles in their last fight, then says oh look im fighting champions.
