People forget that Malignaggi was a shoe-in to fight either Mayweather of Pacquiao after he beat Diaz and the initial Mayweather-Pacquiao negotiations fell apart.

Would love to see him get a big, big payday as a send off for a great career.

No, it'll be the complete opposite. Malignaggi has shown nothing but respect for Floyd for years, he can't change that for one fight. It will probably be like May-Cotto, where no harsh words were traded and both praised each other.

It only takes something small for Paulie to flip,ditto Mayweather. It would be a funny build-up, would probably do good numbers but it would not be a competitive fight imo.

Why would it not be at 154?? Lara is not a huge 154 fighter who comes into fights at 170

He beat him when he was a lightweight jumping two divisions before he became the incredible hulk (relative to the weight class, obviously they're all manlets in reality).

People need to stop being delusional about Paulie. Yes, the guy that got beat up by Cano. Who has he beat? What are the big names on his resume? Seriously, he has a very weak resume for the position he has been able to find himself in. Cotto, who shut him out. Then it's Hatton and Khan, both of which got the stoppage.

He has Lou DiBella to thank for the early part of his career, because back then nobody wanted to see this dude on television. Now he has Espinoza to thank for his Sho gig and fights. And somehow people who just started watching boxing think this dude is a serious threat.

He seems like a smart guy and definitely has the gift of gab. I'm happy he has secured a position for himself when his career was almost in oblivion, but stop acting like he has justified himself doing anything other than commentating a Floyd fight.
