I am surprised Top rank bid a round figure, normally you want to bid a weird number so you win close like that. It does look weird though, but it does happen a lot like that.

What if... Arum knew there was a mole. In fact, the mole works for Arum. He instructed the mole to tell Golden Boy he was betting a ridiculous large amount knowing that Golden Boy would do anything to one up Top Rank. This way Arum gets a ton of money for his own fighter for free, while Golden Boy is down a million bucks.
