How? Floyd picks guys riding a strong wave of momentum and Victor had it at the time. He obviously intended to pick Andre Berto, a fighter that looked good on paper (American, undefeated), but Ortiz ruined those plans by beating AB. Having a Mexican-American backing also helped and it was a proven success numbers wise. 1.2 million PPV buys.

        He was concussed.

I always say it, its not always who you fight, its when you fight them. Ortiz's last lost was against Maidana in an incredible fight, then he won 5 out of 6 (or 4 out of 5) with the one draw against peterson. He then went on to have a fight of the year bout against an undefeated rising star (at the time) in berto. Berto was getting praised at the time and the fight was a great fight. Not always who you fight, but when you fight them.

            Decent win.

The ending was funny, because ortiz the tree is such a weirdo idiot.

Are these boxers bums before they fought May or after? Except for die hard Pac fans, few if any were calling Ortiz a bum. They became bums only after the schooling they receive from May. By the way, can you name some of these boxers in May's wt. level who, in your definition are not bums?

FACTS: Ortiz was knocked down twice in that fight and he struggled to even get up from one of them. Ortiz was just lucky that Berto has no defense. Proof is that Guerrero, Soto Karass did the same job on Berto.

                    2/10 is about right.

Floyd was struggling with Ortiz, and he was lucky to find a way out there. The fact that he had to resort to a sucker punch to beat victor ortiz of all people speaks volumes about how overrated he truly is.

He said he wasnt going to show respect to the champion, so why did he try to hug him?
Keep fighting dirty? He had just gotten a point deducted for that dirty tactic. If he did it again he could've had either another deduction, or better yet, a DQ.
