    Key points

    - Mayweather throwing combos ( never happens)
    - Mayweather laughing in the corner before the butt ( never happens)
    - Ortiz trying the butt ( frustration because he was getting dominated)
    - Mayweather walking Ortiz down from round 1 ( shows comfort levels)

Add all those points up & it shows you Floyd had this kid solved from the ring of the first bell.

Ortiz would probably get stopped in a rematch or run.
Mayweather had this kid solved after Ortiz won against Berto. Hence he was pick.

I don't count it personally. But it was a good fight selection at the time.

No it wasn't. Unless you consider Berto a great fighter.

Welterweight was weak. These were the 2011 rankings:

          Title Vacant
          Manny Pacquiao
          Floyd Mayweather Jr.
          Victor Ortiz
          Andre Berto
          Vyacheslav Senchenko
          Kell Brook
          Mike Jones
          Jan Zaveck
          Selcuk Aydin
          Shane Mosley

With the BS with Pacquiao this was the only legitimate fight.

I disagree. He could've better than Ortiz who was 1 fight removed from jww back then. He could've gone to 154 for a better match up.

Up till the headbutt - Knockout, I would rate it a 10.. he was moving beautifully, throwing great straight rights, and was defensively frustrating.

No, you need to watch the fight again with an open mind without having Floyd's right hand all the way up your rear, floyd never "lit" Ortiz up, he landed the right hand a couple of times, but never dropped or even slowed ortiz down. Ortiz himself landed a couple of right hooks on floyd while flurrying. Most of the combinations came from Ortiz. Ortiz was outweighing floyd by more than 15 pounds that night and if they are both landing on each other, that's not good news for Floyd.

You and all the other Floyd groupies need to calm down because im not saying floyd was going to lose the fight. im saying floyd wasnt looking good and was getting tagged himself. Yes floyd may have stopped ortiz later, but floyd was getting hurt himself, and definitely wasnt going to stop him anytime soon. Berto hurt Ortiz more than floyd did and ortiz still got up and destroyed him.

In the beginning of the 4th, Floyd felt so comfortable he started unleashing combos at will which he rarely does these days. Ortiz was totally on his way to getting stopped. People also forget that this isn't the first time that Ortiz folds when he's getting his a$$ beat up. They forget about his other crazy stunts in the past.
Stop exagerating things dude, Jesus christ are all floyd fans this desperate and pathetic? Floyd only hit ortiz with about 3-4 clean right hands in the entire fight, and only threw one combination. Ortiz on the other hand threw at least 3-4 combinations, backed floyd up to the ropes, and rattled him a few times with right hooks. Going by your logic, ortiz was going to stop floyd.

And yes i do remember ortizs past, including his fight with berto. Berto hit Ortiz much harder than floyd and even dropped him, and ortiz still destroyed berto, so what makes you think floyd was anywhere close to stopping ortiz? Ortiz took everything floyd threw and was charging right back. Admit it, ortiz was coming on strong in the 4th round and floyd didn't want it to take a risk and continue.

Watching the fight again I was surprised how victor was holding his own in there.

Watching the 3rd and fourth round again. Wow got surprised how competitive Victor was. He was throwing bombs and pushing Floyd. I can see Floyd hurt in some occasions.

I can swear victor landed some pretty good bombs and some nice combos. In the fourth Floyd had to shake his head to show he wasn't hurt but we know darn well when a fighter does that means he got hurt bad.

Victor was in there, pushing Floyd in the ropes. 3rd and fourth should have been victors. Victor was pressing. Floyd had cleaner shots but the number of bombs victor threw was a lot and would have accumulated if it reached 12 rounds. You can sense victors punches is coming from a young strong lion. It was turning into a good fight. Victor landed some good body and head shots that snapped Floyd. Floyd was in a fight. we will never know if went the distance. But it would have been a great fight regardless who wins.

Victor was winning the fourth round until he got frustrated at the end when nothing was landing, but if his temperance was in check. He should have known that he rocked Floyd and landed some great shots on the fourth. He was a beast stalking Floyd on the fourth.

I think Floyd resorted to a cheap shot coz Floyd knows his in a real war. If it reached 12 even if Floyd would have won I think we would have seen a Floyd battered and bruised for the first time. Floyd would still have won but I think Floyd would have a not so pretty boy face afterwards. Just sad we didn't get a real war. It was shaping up until Victor snapped.

It's true what Victors old trainer said about him. He easily gets frustrated and has no temperance. Sad he could have ****** for 12 rounds. Victor lacks is brain savvy. He is skilled but lacks a cool head. He was just a hungry bull. If he had patience he could have damaged Floyd if it ever reached 12 rounds.

****you will see a different perspective if you watch the fight again. Floyd was in a real war in there sad it had to end with a cheap shot. Would have been a great fight ********

Damn sweet. Watch the 2:29 mark it was a rally by Victor almost all landed and floyd shakes his head as if to say I wasn't hurt but of course he was lol. Then 2:40 -2:43

Clean crisp shots. And the start of the round Victor blocked almost everything Floyd threw. His hands were all up even if floyd threw some shots it was blocked by Victor. Most of Floyd's shots were blocked.

Ortiz blocked 80 - 90% of Floyd's punches. His guard was up. Floyd was hitting gloves.
