Even though what I said there ^ is the truth. There is no way in hell that fight was going to get made on a 50-50 or 60-40 split. Those slices of the pie would mean both of them would not really make much more than they were making beforehand and it would not be worth the risk. All we saw was 2 sides playing to the press and fans.
40 million fair deal or a bad joke(debate)?

Yup. Doesn't really matter what we think-only matters what Manny thought.
Myself, I don't think the offer was that bad.-its something like $10-12 mil more than Manny ever made for any other fight, so he could of said yes. On the other hand, if the fight made what most people think, Floyd would potentially be making 3-4 times what Manny would (based on the way his deal is structured). As such, I can understand why Manny would refuse this deal.
Of course, had Manny not walked away from the fight in 2009/10 this deal wouldn't be an issue.Comment

If I'm not mistaken the no PPV part is a bunch of BS. I have no doubt that no PPV was Mannys interpretation of the offer but I could of swore I heard Floyd say in an enter view that they never got a chance to discuss the money on the back end. Meaning Floyd was willing to give Manny some percentage of the PPV.Comment

Lol. Seriously, people need to use their common sense. If the 2009 conditions had been accepted there would be no need for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th negotiation.
And to see the man renig on his stance only to take test for one of his fights....just a fcuking shame. What was the point? Straight up bullcrapComment

first of all he didn't offer manny pacquiao the man 40 million because manny pacquiao is promoted by top rank. he can't just leave and accept any offer. he has a legal contract. so floyd offered top rank and manny pac 40 mill(over the phone very official) so then if you look at the numbers top rank usually makes over 40 million per pac fight so accepting less to do the biggest fight in boxing history doesn't make a lot of sense now does it? if you subtract top rank's usual cut pac wouldn't even make his biggest payday either. also the total amount generated for this fight would almost certainly exceed 200 million so 160 million to 40 million? is that really fair? does floyd generate 4 times as much as pac? no not even close. so no it wasn't a good offer. yes it was a joke to anyone who understands simple concepts, but it was a great offer for any simpleton who doesn't like to think.Comment

The Pac fans arent holding the man responsible for his faults...or even Top Rank. No but its all Mayweather doing and supposedly ducking, lol. I am a BOXING FAN...I dont claim allegiance to anyone but whats right is right. Just look at Bob wanting Mayweather fight boycotted but he wasnt talking boycott until after his fighters fought lmao....its just some underhanded prejudice racist mixed in with a little hate.Comment
