100-0 split, no PPV, plus no Mommy D by ringside.

I'd say 65/35 as well. That split is of everything. PPV, gate, worldwide television ie the lot.

But is it then equal to say that Floyd is ducking if he demands a bigger slice?

Don't give a **** what these two make on the fight. None of this **** has any affect on me or anyone else here.

I just wanna see them fight.

Depends on Pac's recent PPV's, which have been poor and we don't know how Pac-Bradley II did, which I would guess are poor as well. In 2010 when Pac was doing 1mill per fight, Floyd agreed to 50-50, but now that Pac fell to like 500k ballpark, 55-45 would be an automatic "no". Even 60-40 would probably sound absurd to Floyd. If Pac wants to ask for 55-45 he has to fight more known fighters, like Canelo, Cotto at 150-154, and Marquez.

Fighting Bradley, Rios, Alvarado, Vargas, Khabib won't get Pac even at the 800k level, and therefore won't do him any favors at the negotiating table with some one like Floyd who just did 2.2million in one night, 850k with Guerrero and 1.5mill with Cotto.

I think if negotiations actually place legitimately and not who's **** is bigger in the media, Floyd would agree with 65-35. But with Arum's recent bashing, Floyd would probably **** around in the media asking for 80-20 or something like that. I think If Arum shuts his mouth and behaves himself, Floyd would also behave himself. But let's face it, Arum and Haymon will never do business together, so whatever Pac and Floyd say don't matter.

                GREAT POST!!!

i can remember last time mayweather responded in a pretty serious way to a future pacman fight. around the time of the rios fight. He did stress that he wanted manny to being serious proof/papers with him showing how many PPV buys pacman made. This makes me believe FMJ is gonna be about the numbers and facts if it ever comes to negotiating a fight.

lets say FMJ makes an average of 1.200.000 buys
and pac does an average of 300.000 buys

FMJ has a strong case that he atleast deserves 4 times what pacman deserves. What do y'all think about this logic? 80-20 for FMJ

                  It's all based on projections.

Floyd was guaranteed 41.5 against Canelo because they projected the fight could do 1.5 or so.

The 40 million offer to Pac was based off of a projection. PPV money is in that offer.

In that case.....they would do what Bob is doing. Offer 6 million + PPV on the back end.

                  It's called a buyout.
40 million was a buyout offer.

Now if you do the math you would know that a 40 million offer for a fight which was projected to sell 2 million or so PPV's was fair.

I just don't see where people are getting this 100 million per fighter.
that money is not there and was never there. Not even at the fights peak.
the 100 million per fighter was the number arum was throwing out to the public when this fight was first mentioned. and as time has shown / along with this forum, anything bob says is the gospel.

Yeah ok....do people still buy this ****?
Maybe, just maybe, he's okay with losing out on tens of millions of dollars as long as he knows he's the top highest paid boxer in the sport, and for that simple reason only, he probably won't lose any sleep about whether the fight happens or not. Are you ignoring the fact that Arum probably wants more than just a cut? Like a 50% split or 45% split for his fighter, and the way Manny's PPV numbers have looked lately, he sure as hell doesn't deserved a 50% or 45% split even though i think a 60/40 split is fair.

                    May-July 2009***8212;Sides Argue over 60-40 or 50-50 Split

Mayweather initially offered Pacquiao a 60-40 split, which Arum and Roach both scoffed at. Arum even went as far as to say that Mayweather may not even get a 50-50 split.

Per James Slater of ******** Boxing, Arum said:

"You can tell Floyd Mayweather that Bob Arum says he's delusional,"
It is hard to imagine two fighters that have never faced each other sustaining a rivalry, but Floyd "Money" Mayweather and Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao are boxing's version of the Cold War...

Back then, Arum had the leverage to turned down 60-40 and even probably wanted a bigger split for his fighter than just 50%. Arum hasn't changed his stance one bit, and i wouldn't be surprised if he turns down a 60/40 split offer from Floyd now as he did when had the leverage after Floyd came out of retirement even though they had similar PPV buys back then, but the tables have turned now.
