Being charged with hate crimes....he, and a group of his friends attacked some Asians and blacks on different occasions..calling them chi-nks, n word..etc
That's one of the reasons I was never a fan of his "rap" career or acting..
I know people can change, but that was too drastic of an act..and happened too often to excuse it as just adolescence.

Yeah it was f**ked up, but I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. It was like 25 years ago, and since he has co-starred in a film with an Asian lead (Chow Yun Fat or however you spell it) and has been to several Pac-man training camps in support of him. If he was a real racist then I doubt he'd be accepting roles with Asian leads and cheering on Manny Pacquiao. My guess is he was just a wild ass South Boston kid who was with a bunch of other kids looking for trouble. That is certainly no excuse, but sometimes people, especially when you're young & ******, make horrible decisions.

And it's not like I'm a Wahlberg fan per se, he's alright but I could honestly take him or leave him -- but I'd like to believe that he's grown up since that time (which was two and a half decades ago).

thats horrible if its accurate. i did hear about some racial hate crime stuff in his teens i think he was all cracked out on speed or something back then too.

if I was Marky I'd donate some money from the millions he's earning to help those guys he attacked. Its the least he could do right?

yea he went to jail as a teen in boston for some racial stuff..but hey we all do ****** **** as kids so i wouldn't hold that against him or anyone

He dodged a bullet, because if he had did that to a black guy instead of Asian he would have been locked up for years on a hate crime charge.

What is messed up is how he was able to get away with blatant racism motivated hate crime, the white cops let him go with a assualt charge he got like 2 years but the judge felt sorry for him and let him out after 40 days.

What happened was Wahlberg started focusing his racism and violence mainly on Asians after he got in trouble for throwing rocks at a black kid and injured some girls instead.

He used to mainly pick on blacks, but he was told not to be because he could get caught with a hate crime.

Asians were easy victims they minded their own business and many of them were frail an had no protection since there was few of them in his area.

Mark did one of the most cowardly heartless acts of violence, one day he took a wooden 2 by 4 and blind sided some old Asian man who was taking beer out of his trunk he hit the guy so hard with the hard wood that the guy dropped instantly slamming his face on the concrete and was out cold and having some seizures, Mark spit on the guy and was calling him a G00k and Vietnamese **** and laughing hard and did 3 more stomps on the guy before taking his beer and leaving him in a pool of blood out cold.

As Mark was running away from police he asked a old Asian man to help hide him from police, but when the Police came Mark sucker punched the old skinny man and he dropped to the floor and wound up losing vision in his eye from the damage.

While he was in police hands, Mark Wahlberg was using Racist terms like "Slant-eyed g--ks" and other slurs, he said yeah i did it because that guy was a ****** Vietnamese g00k, and the messed up part is he never got a hate crime charge he basically got a slap on the wrist.

He was super violent man.

I kept seeing the thread title, and still couldn't put 2 and 2 together that it was about Mark Wahlberg. I kept thinking it was about some boxer named Mark.
