As far as I am concerned, to throw the punches he throws, move the way he does, and still fight with energy throughout a 12 round fight, shows he still has it. He's fighting more durable guys than the Hatton that went back down to 140lb years ago. They are quality opposition. Some of them pretty big.

Mosley. Great chin. Margarito. Great chin. Rios. Great chin. Bradley. Shown a great chin and wasn't the easiest to hit. Marquez, great chin and Manny's kryptonite. Joshua Clottey. Great chin. Cotto, beat up over 12 rounds.

Go back 3-6 years ago, he clocked Hatton, peppered DLH until he quit, battered David Diaz's chin until he fell in 9 and beat Cotto up over 12 rounds. That doesn't mean he was "better". Look at the guys he's fought since then.

      Clottey - chin, covers up
Margarito - chin, Manny moved a lot to be smart vs a bigger man
Mosley - chin, Mosley stayed at a distance
Marquez III / IV - chin, since when is Marquez easy to knockout?
Bradley - decent chin, was a bit elusive so where Manny had no business fighting recklessly
Rios - chin, Manny coming off a KO has to fight smart

Point is that Manny is fighting quality guys and is at a point in his career where it's smart to fight smart.
Also remember that he hit Mosley like never before, he said to Nazzim he wanto to quit..
      Bradley is no easy target
Marquez is the only one who beat pacman, but all the great ones had nemesis...sugar ray leonard had duran....robinson had lamotta...ali had frazier...chavez had taylor...pacman has marquez...

      Its called legacy

Henry Armstrong (african american) was 5 ft 5 in..started in 1931 started at featherweight with a ko LOSS, then went on to win titles up to middlewight, had 181 fights, 150 wins, 10 draws and 21 losses
this are FACTS, a man can grow naturally with hard work through the divisions, or maybe you are implying that Lance Armstrong traveled to the past and was the PED supplier of Henry Armstrong hahaha idiot

You forgot Floyd and Manny's countless battles in the press. They would have fought for real if Floyd didn't forget himself saying Pacquiao was next.

Floyd Mayweather has successfully ducked a prime Pacquiao. It took 5 years of excuses, smokescreens and false accusations but Floyd finally done it.

Floyd, Al and all the Mayweather fanboys must be very proud.

My take after participating on the inside and the outside of this great sport for 48 years is that Manny Pacquiao could win a decision against the Floyd Mayweather we have come to view as 'perfect' for so many years.

The smart 'Money' knows this very well and has produced a small mountain of excuses not to challenge himself in this fashion.

FMJ has created a brand based upon 'perfection'.
It has earned him the title of highest paid athlete on the globe.
But the hard truth is that Floyd is a genuine talent, dancing upon the celebrity high wire, wherein Manny Pacquiao elects to Rock and Roll upon the genuine prizefighters tightrope.

The Manny I witnessed on Saturday evening will give Mayweather fits.
He will be remembered as the true legend of the past 10 boxing seasons.
Without Pacquiao, Mayweather will never achieve the legacy supremacy he believes is his entitlement.

We created this version of Floyd and we should hold him to a promise of actual greatness.
                    Great post!

I love Manny. He is a true warrior, who will fight anyone and everyone.

I also love Floyd, the most talented fighter in the world, bar none. But Floyd only fights occasionally and not everyone.

Floyd will beat Manny, anytime at any weight, but Floyd never wanted Manny at anytime or at any weight.

                    Manny says "Ini-taym, ini-wer!"

                    Floyd says "Health comes first."

Manny might be scared of needles, while Floyd seems to be scared of Manny.

                    MANNY - ATG

                    FLOYD - ATG*

There in lies the difference between Manny and Floyd.

I just remember this article few weeks ago where Roach admitted Ariza was "shady" giving mystery drink to Manny for 4 years http://www.fighthype.com/news/article15910.html
and another article about reviving Manny drug issues http://digitaljournal.com/sports/roa...article/365438
If the allegations are true then it could cost MP his place at the hall of fame. Remembering the MLB (Canseco, Sosa, McGuire destroying records) and/or also Lance Armstrong (many Tour of France) where the truth finally emerged.
