I'm a big fan of Andre Ward and although I'm not sure Manny advances to p4p #2 with his performance on Saturday night,I agree Ward's inactivity is killing him.

However ,all you types piling on with "Ward was never that good anyway, etc. etc..." and variations: You are not fooling anybody. Not hard to tell that you're mostly (all?) butthurt Froch or Kessler fans.

ward is basically in p4p rankings due to talent not resume.

that usually happens when american boxers are involved.

you see a lot of posters here rewarding talent instead of actual accomplishment inside the ring in comparison to other fighters who stay busy and fight highly ranked opponents.

Bradley was #3 p4p the entire sport, and he was dominated by a fellow top10 p4p boxer. its not like Bradley was top20 or top 30. Pacquiao should be #2.

The ranking would be justified. Ward's ranking is all based on his talent and his supersix win which was years ago.

Manny has always been above Jokeland Ward.

Absolutely Not. Ward is light years better than Pacquiao.

He hit the year mark between Dawson and Rodriguez.

Or does beating Rodriguez automatically reinstate him to #2?

Can Ward just keep fighting a bum once every 14 months and keep his #2 spot?

That win stuck him back in for me because he fought again.

I'm not basing the Rodriguez win on his status.... I already know how skillful he is

So after a year of inactivity you take him out, then when he fights you put him back to #2 again no matter who the opponent is?
