    HBO Commentary, Biased/Not Biased: PacVsBradley

What do you guys have to say about HBO's commentary of this fight? I'd say it was pretty neutral, they weren't biased towards any fighter. Jim Lampley didn't exaggerate the effect of Manny's punches every time he landed one. Huge improvement over the first fight or even a few of the previous Pacquiao fights where Lampley did go overboard with his comments about Pacquiao's punches. Max Kellarman never had to intervene with his comments to keep Lampley or Roy Jones Jr. in check. Definitely an improvement from the commentating team.

I guess we can watch HBO fights with the mute OFF now?

I like how they kept talking about the "perception" of weak ass undercards Top Rank puts out on PPV events.

Goes to show that if the fans are vocals, the networks listen. That was some White House style damage control!

They were better. Lamply and Max were carefully given past criticisms.

Roy Jones, however, is in love with Bradley. To his credit though, once Pac turned the fight around, he managed to stay on point. By the way RJJr, passion does not mean compassion.

I find Roy Jones just as insightful as Paulie, if not more so because Roy sees different things. The problem is that Roy is not as articulate and sometimes struggles to put together the sentence. He's fine though. I want him there.

It was bad in the first fight. Last night they were fine.

              That was cringeworthy.

The card was absolute horse****. The fact that Arum thinks that fans don't care about the undercard is not defensible. I absolutely care. I haven't bought an even since the Floyd-Canelo fight because the card was strong.

Max actually tried to lightly criticize Arum on this. You get the sense that Max and Jim hate having to accept Arum's turd undercards.

It was fine. They seemed to even to even put in an extra effort to talk about what Bradley was doing to me.

ive been calling for Lampley's retirement for awhile now. He has been sloppy with his commentating for awhile now, calling the fight wrong, making mistakes as to who landed, pronunciation mistakes etc.. but last night he was actually pretty great.

It looked like he laid off the sauce and was actually coherent.

It was the best Lampley looked in years.
