Becoming undisputed at his age is crazy. He's not talking just beating Stevenson. He'd have to beat Shumenov, Stevenson, and Kovalev, and probably be 51, actually, by the time he did all that.

actually, many of the modern champions, especially the larger ones, are fighting past their 30's. they're probably on drugs. i hate to burst your bubble, but that's almost certainly what's going on. an ACL injury used to end a career. then it took a year. now it takes 6 months. dennis sidenberg [defenseman for the bruins] is contemplating a return to action after four months and three weeks.

stevenson and kovalev are top fighters, but to compare a victory over them to roberto duran beating ray leonard just because hopkins is old is f#cking absurd.

You're not bursting my bubble. I realize all of that. Even roided up, most these guys are shot by their mid-30s. I can't guarantee it, but I'd bet serious money that no fighter today will be at or near the top of their division at 50 like Hopkins is.

None of those wins on their own come anywhere near the best wins ever, but to beat all of them and unify a division at 50-51 would be one of the best things any fighter has ever done.

Yes completely agree. Bhop discovered a drug many others today haven't got their hands on yet. Once they do, we will see every fighter fight in unification fights at 50 years old. It's only a matter of time.
