The Manny against DLH was prime Manny. He was extremely fast and threw combos with intent. Aggressive and relentless.

If this Manny met up with any version of Floyd. Manny would have crushed him.
Yet you deliberately fail to mention that it would be easy to put on a display against an old, past prime, drained Oscar.....lol i get it.

a Floyd that is willing to come at THAT Manny and throw?

i'll take the PAC that retired DLH vs any fighter that's willing to throw with him
Well, lets not forget that that version of Manny didn't even know how to spell defense, and that version of Floyd, while not being as defensive as he is now, was still held as the best defender in the fight game. Just some points to think about. Good action fight it would be.

Its actually the other way around. Manny style is hell for Floyd, well it was at one point.

Floyd fought Gatti aggressively to prove a point. Thunders only chance was to get Floyd in a brawling type fight. The skill level between the 2 was known in the beginning. The fight was made B/C Gatti was the HBO star at the time. I was rooting for Gatti but knew how it was going to end.

Actually no. As I said Gatti was slower than Floyd. His style is not the best with Floyd's accuracy. So it is the same as fighting a washed old dude who tried to cherry pock a smaller fighter. Hmmm.

you might have to rewatch that fight again, fellow laker fan..PAC showed exceptional defense...he used his superior foot speed to dart in and out and didn't prolong the exchanges...he got in, unloaded on DLH and got out...he was wary of DLH's left hook and never really allowed Oscar's only weapon, the jab, to dictate any of parts of that fight

Manny is would be tough on Floyd. Floyd wants to sit there and potshot and win low output rounds. That's not going to happen vs prime Manny. He's going to have to throw more to win against Manny's output.

Pac fought a zombie, Floyd fought a punching bag. I don't think that these two fights should be used as an argument to explain why somebody think Floyd or Pac would win if they ever fight.
Im not necessarily comparing the Floyd of that fight but that era vs that Pac. Pac beat Hatton, Cotto and De La Hoya in a far more impressive manner than Floyd had around that year. I dont think anyone could beat that 2009 Pacquiao. Mayweather had shown a lil vulnerability against Castillo and getting hit by Corley with a hard ass left around that time if I recall correctly. Pac has the meanest left hand in the game.

i think the pac that beat cotto has a good chance vs the floyd who beat cotto. Then again styles makes fights. Overall i think floyd beats pac 8-4.
