Yea it really only makes sense now, as it is pretty much to decide who is the man in the division. People get so hung up on wanting stuff right away, but sometimes it is better to wait and let things clear up because then you actually get a fight that really means something as opposed to just being a really good fight.

Lara fans are pissed because Alvarez decided to fight Angulo in his first fight back post-Mayweather instead of Erislandy?

You do realize that that decision only pushed back the potential Alvarez/Lara fight by like 6 months, right?

I love boxing and I certainly enjoy many aspects of talking to other boxing fans about a wide range of topics, but you have to put up with some miserable ass people.

I have never seen such strange concerns anywhere else in my life, I get that boxing is messed up and I enjoy the sport personally because I focus on the better aspects but I can understand a certain amount of *****ing and moaning.

But when you are actually getting a fight that really means something between guys (especially guys really trying to establish themselves) at the top of a division that is when everyone should be happy.

Bringer it's because of what I repeat in this place over and over that boxing fans don't seem to get. Fights need a fan base to happen. The reason this fight didn't happen before was because the Canelo people were looking for bigger paying fights.

Mayweather, El Perro, Cotto, Martinez etc....

So to all of a sudden take a fight with Lara, who two years ago only hardcore boxing fans knew who he was, would have been dumb business sense. Idiots don't get that and call out "ducking", or "he's scared".

Boxing at the end of the day is a business. You have to do what makes the most money. Canelo is a cash cow and you need to bleed his career for every penny you will get, because in boxing, tomorrow is never guaranteed.
