Goddamn, man. Just look at that weight difference. I have to believe what some people have been saying all along, that Lara was told there was a rehydration limit. No wonder Landy was getting put on his ass. Motherfuckers.

Yes, but you know as well as everyone here that Mayweather is different.
He built his following by reaching to the young hip hop community, and building a completely different persona. A persona that entertains and therefore makes up for the fact he takes few risk in the ring.

However most fighters don't have that charismatic ability. Therefore they have to sell tickets with their style. A style that if it doesn't involve entertaining the fans, tends not to sell.

And I don't say this only about Cuban fighters. There are plenty of other fighters whose styles make TV networks cringe. Look at Vladimir, the guy is a great HW, but has a hard time getting networks in the US to televise him.
Same for Miguel Vasquez, a Mexican lightweight champ who has to take any fight he possibly can, because no network wants him.

Again they can fight in any style the want, and continue to be champs. But they shouldn't complain when fans don't want to watch them, and when they don't get multimillion dollar offers.

You could tell because he weighed in just below 165. His team dropped the ball on that one.

Quite frankly, I dont care about popularity when it comes to Cuban fighters. I never have high expectations of them becoming stars. As long as we have some of the best fighters out there then thats all I care about.

I went with Lara, but in reality, I'm torn.

Canelo will UD Lara with relative ease, probably dropping him once in the process.

Afterwards, Lara fans will go quiet for a while before coming back to boxingscene to give Canelo more **** and pretend like they weren't picking Lara in the first place.

AKA - The cycle of NSB.

What else can I possibly say regarding a fight where 12 threads are made about it per week?

Should I start changing my opinion in other threads just so you can be entertained reading it?
