Hard to pick this fight.

There's no way to be a famous champion while being protected. He must do real fights if he wants to be the best of the division. That's the reality of this sport

Hopefully, posters will learn to relax a little bit. Ever since the Floyd fight many posters have been killing Canelo, saying he wouldn't fight Lara, etc etc. Its as if a fight isn't announced the second one is over some posters already decide its a duck or a fighter is scared.

SHould Canelo win this fight, depending on how it goes, I would all the posters who whined, *****ed and threw him under the bus simply because he has a fanbase will show a little humility. You guys need to stop whining when a fight isn't announced on your time table.

Its truly sad. Posters refer to the late 80's and everyone fighting each other. I waited 5 years for Hagler v SRL. Hearns won his title and fought SRL over a year later. Hearns fought Duran in 84 and Hagler in 1985. Imagine the **** that we would have to read on NSB if this was around then?

Exactly. Funny how people forget that it took a year to get the SRL/Hearns fight. People forget that Angelo Dundy said he didn't want the fight until it got juicy. Or that SRL said Hearns wasn't on the level of a Roberto Duran. Things posters today would have a field day with.

Sometimes young fighters like Canelo wait a lot of time and make the fight when the other opponent is old and out of his prime. Sometimes you have no choice like probably the Canelo-Mosley fight, but with Lara there are choices to make the fight in his prime. My respect to Canelo for him accepted fight Lara in his prime. IF GB get a way to resign Ishe fight and Lara has the same rest of Canelo for me everything is fair and Im ready to give my compliments to Canelo in case he wins. But I think Lara will win

The point is posters need to be "intellectually honest" about boxing. The 80's wasn't a time when SRL fought, Benitez, duran, hearns and Hagler in a 1 or 2 year span. The ranting about Canelo not fighting this guy or that guy has become an NSB staple that should be done away with.

I would disagree strongly with both of your opinions.

Posters that make a determination about what kind of fighter Canelo is and what kind of career he will have when he is only 23 are ****ing ******ed. Lets see how his career plays out.
