Man, miss me with that giving "props" and "respect" to Nelo for taking this fight....Lara checkmated him, cornered him....boxing is so watered down that we the fans give props to fighters for signing up for the classic #1 vs #2 fight...as if the 2 top dogs are not SUPPOSED to throw down....smh

Lara got game....I give Nelo a hard time(pause) but the kid got game as well....Lara is that dude though, something about that cat says "don't bet against me".....IMO this is the most relevant fight we've had since Swift and Lucas went at it for 140 pound supremacy, another GBP fight.....Rigo vs Flash was the last time TR had me excited as a fan....their cards suck!!

the only thing I don't like about this fight is that Lara is fighting in 2 May. Smith is not a top level fighter but Lara might have Canelo on his mind; over train or hurt him.
I know this sound like excuses but I thing for Lara going into this fight needs to be 100%.
Canelo is taking full advantage of this.
Also don't forget that Ortiz broken jaw when he was promised a fight but Lopez had other ideas.

Who else is Canelo going to fight? His selection is very slim at 154 lbs. He didn't even need to demand it, that could be bogus. There is no one else for him that would make good business.

He could fight Kirkland, he could make a fight with Molina in Mexico.
He could move up to 160 and test the waters there since he's wanting the winner of Cotto/Martinez at 160.
He could fight Kid Chocolate after his april fight, he could fight Rubio, there is no shortage of fights he could take.

He however is choosing to fight Lara, the pest who has been calling him out.

Instead of giving him props, you're here trying to discredit anything he does.

It would be very, very easy for Golden Boy and Alvarez to continue to make excuses to avoid Lara. They could drag this out much longer if they want to. So I'm definitely going to give Alvarez props for wanting it.
