This is easily becoming the biggest story of the year in boxing,, I have never seen so much attention paid to a fight not happening, except for manny-floyd..

People are becoming obsessed with the kovolev-adonis, hbo, showtime, haymon, yvon, duva soap opera..

If Michel's account is true, the idea that Stevenson refused to agree to a Kovalev fight even if HBO raised the fee for a Fonfara fight is obviously a PR lie.

I said yesterday that Kathy Duva was full of sh.t and I was apparently correct.

Glad these facts are coming to light...first off Kahty Duva is a **** we all know that, and Kovalev is a good fighter but he's no boogie man and I don't buy for a second that Stevenson would go out of his way to break a contract and leave HBO just to run from Kovalev...lol what world are these ppl living in? And I'm also glad that HBO is being semi-exposed here for the way they do business. It probably won't be long before HBO stops even showing boxing because they have a bunch of idiots running the show who don't care about the sport or the fighters and don't know how to do business like honest people

First, I don't see actual "numerous emails" between HBO and Yvon Michel. As a matter of fact, I see summaries of alleged emails. We don't know what was negotiated by other means, i.e. telephone or face to face. What I also see is a long, convoluted, sometimes contradicting explanation by Michel, that we are supposed to accept as "fact". I'm not sure exactly what went on between HBO and Stevenson's people, and I don't really care. What I do know to be fact, because I heard it straight from Stevenson's mouth, is that he is more excited to face Pascal and Hopkins than Kovalev. And now lo and behold, he's at Showtime, which puts him in a great position to do just that. He claims the fans want him to face Pascal and Hopkins, but that's what he wants. Whatever, Stevenson. Good luck on your PPVs with one-dimensional Pascal and old man Hopkins. Oh yeah, I almost forgot:

Yeah, I was wondering how that wasn't included in the emails...

Let me rephrase that. Outside of American television. Kovalev vs Stevenson won't happen without American TV money.

At this point can you really trust anything that HBO is saying? Fat Dan even made the point that other than the spokesperson releasing the statement HBO has said nothing-they've let Kathy do all the talking.

Herschman needs to go. HBO is better than this.
