The point IMDAZED was making, and I agree with, is posters simply blamed Haymon and stevenson without knowing any facts. we can guess why this happened.

you, I and every poter should be pissed this fight isn't happening. but fcous your anger where it belongs. As we read this thread-created because the breakdown of this fight was the biggest story in the sport for a week-we realize it wasn't Haymon.

If you want to get pissed at stevenson because he doesn't want to fight Kovalev-ok, I agree.

As for this subject-HBO is full of **** and Duva was clearly a puppet. Hopefully posters who went HAM will at least post some humility.

I never blamed Haymon on this. It was known long before this Adonis never wanted to fight Kovalev.

I would love to know what their current budget is in comparison to a few years ago. They seem to be penny pinching.

If they think Showtime was cash strapped due to Mayweather, then HBO should have lots of money to toss around. Apparently though, they don't.

Yep. And the idea that they think that reeks of jealousy. This is turning into a **** show.

Its a sound principle not to spend 2m+ for Stevenson Fonfara which last year would have took a 20k license fee from espn, esp without a guarantee of a Kov fight

The most important part was not addressed by Micheal. That they refused to lock themselves in for the Kovalev fight even if HBO payed what they wanted for the Fonfara fight, despite their agreement to do so.

That's interesting. I wonder if that is referred to in the emails.

I hear you. That's why I just stopped arguing with people about this. The facts will come out and the same idiots will continue to see it as a simple "duck"

Kovalev does in fact have an exclusive contract with HBO, but for who knows how many more fights. He can fight outside the country without HBO though.

If Hopkins wins hell have 2 belts on top of being a HOF and living legend of sport. Dont care how much they get paid but thays a good fight right there.

I know NSB falls in love with punchers but Kov accomplishments are dwarfed by what Hopkins has done and if he wins he will be the man.
