If Boxingscene would publish the emails, we would get closer to what went on. Furthermore Duva surely has to react.

HBO played their cards wrong....don't blame the deck shuffler or card dealer....that would be ******....HBO had the right cards and got arrogantly ******....they deserve to air rematches and mismatches....they let one half of their biggest fight this year get away because they tried to make up for that Ward-Rodriguez charity fight they sponsored

1) Gennady Golovkin didn't want to fight Erislandy Lara, because he claimed Lara was on another network.
Would you say Golovkin duck Lara ?

2) Canelo Alvarez didn't want to fight Erislandy Lara, because there was not enough money on the table.
Would you say Alvarez duck Lara ?: The money's right, the fight's ON RIGHT !

3) Curtis Stevens, denied a fight against Golovkin because the money wasn't right. So Kathy Duva find a way to put more money on the table; which setup an aggrement to fight Golovkin.

4) Sergey Kovalev avoid hopkins (IBF) by deciding to play safe, by choosing the paper champ Nathan Cleverly (WBO), for less money & a hoping deal with HBO. Instead or more prestige, more money & a deal with Showtime.
Kovalev avoid Hopkins for LESS money, by choosing an easier fighter; I'll answer this one for you: That's DUCKING...

The most important part was not addressed by Micheal. That they refused to lock themselves in for the Kovalev fight even if HBO payed what they wanted for the Fonfara fight, despite their agreement to do so.

This right here is the truth missing from the article.

They make it seem like it was all them being reasonable, no they didn't just want an extra 40% or an extra 100k, they want that AND no to have to fight Kovalev.

They refused to sign anything that said they had to fight Kovalev.

I'd be shocked if Boxingscene got their hands on the emails and didn't include something about that caveat. I'd be even more shocked if it was never mentioned in those emails but actually existed. I think you can see where I'm going with this.
