There is no way he said Pacquaio is not a good fighter. That's just something he wouldn't say.

But he probably said he's not a smart fighter. He's not really a smart fighter.

We all know Manny is a great fighter no question. But he's not a smart fighter.

He comes on same way every time and does not approach things in a way that make things easier on himself, just because he has the ability to put the square peg through the round hole doesn't make him smart it just make him an excellent fighter who is very good at what he does.

I don't see how he's a "very smart" fighter. Pacquaio approachs most of his fights the same way.

I don't see how doing what he did against Rios or Oscar show anything. And I wasn't too impressed with him against Bradley either although I thought he won relatively easily.

I didn't say he's got to where he has on physical gifts alone. He hasn't. But he sure as hell hasn't got to where he has due to his ring smarts.

I define ring smarts by out-thinking fighters, adjusting, etc Pacquaio doesn't really do that.

I wouldn't consider his defense "good" either I'd consider it decent at best.

I don't see how he has high Ring IQ. Obviously it's not non-existant but it's hardly through the roof. He's an explosive fighter with ridiculous speed in both foot and hand, power, athleticism, stamina. Without those gifts I don't see him out-thinking fighters.

I also don't see much difference in those performances you just mentioned other than going for the kill against Cotto and Oscar as opposed to the others.
