Because JMM has the tools to apply his intelligence on Manny which he did kind of prove over 4 fights, speed is not everything just like ring IQ is not. Everybody has different positives and negatives to varying degrees. Also that conversation was not about speed it was about being better, being better is a total of positives and negatives and you don't need to be smarter or faster to be better although both can lead down a path to being better.

Paulie has struck me as a secret racist.

His hate for pacquiao over the years has proven me that. He continuously accuses pacquiao of steroid use without a single shred of evidence.

His only evidence is that Manny came from the lower weights and beat two fighters who he couldnt handle. He also picked against pacquiao vs the hatton, cotto, and oscar fights.

I remember vividly his accusations of manny and it went something like this:

"how can pacquiao take shots from hatton and cotto and not get affected? I got affected, and got beat by both of these guys but this lower weight asian guy did? he must be on roids."

i swear that's how he came off during that ring magazine interview. As if his pain tolerance is the measuring stick if you are clean or not. I swear that's what he said.

Paulie has always had it in for team pacquiao. None of it has to do with steroids but probably a rejected offer from them.
