You disagree? He is very good at slipping punches.

ward may hold too much but he is slick and avoids punches well. paulie is not slick. ward is much better at staying in range and using angles and head movement to avoid punches

He would school a lot of fighters today as he did in his time.

He'd be P4P #1 and Pacquiao and Floyd would have either lost to him or avoided him.

You havent been saying too much bad stuff lately. I been seeing you being fair to everyone and I like what you said about them calling him a runner. But I see your on the 'bias for past atg's' train now. I agree he would be in the top 3, but GTFO with that most likely number 1 mess. He got hit by all caliber of fighters and I know someone that would probably be way too accurate for that flashy bob, weave, & 'showboat for the audience' mess.

But hey, I guess we all slip up once in a while right? Lol

He'd get ducked from being "high risk/low reward" and not "having a fan friendly" style.

The ducking nature of today's fighters may have hurt his career.

                  The Floyd era sucks!

The Erik Morales era was way better! This guy inspired other fighters to take on the best.

I think slick is a term used to describe elusive fighters with fancy athleticism. I would use the word 'crafty' to describe a fighter like Ward. Ward is awkward, difficult, and smart. Great defense btw.

I can agree on this. Maybe Floyd and Pac both would duck him. I dont know if Floyd would duck a slick fighter. I think he ducked Pac because of the sheer speed, punch output, power etc. Maybe he would duck a non-dangerous slick fighter who knows? But it would be cool to see them all fighting in this era. And I dont know if he could beat Pac. Pernell has gotten hit by lesser fighters than Pac. Pac hit hard af at his peek.
