    Floyd by easy U.D
I agree. He wouldn't even do as well as Marquez and would likely get stopped.

I'll buy that Thurman will get better and could be absolutely great. He seems like he has the right attitude and a good enough head to be a great champion.
i'd bet my life saving if floyd and thurman fought there would be absolutely no way floyd would leave thurman unconscious. the opposite is more likely imo. floyd isn't stopping a big welter. hell he isn't stopping a small welter may 3rd.

A lot of you lose credibility with every post you make.
Bradley would be the most competitive fight that could be made at WW but it will never happen so there is no point in bringing it up. The fact he is signed with Top Rank makes him not a threat at all because he will never get the fight. I expect Pacman to lose to Bradley and I think Floyd beats him at this stage now that Pacquiao is no longer a KO machine. Say what you want about Thurman's level of opposition but you can't take away his size, ring iq, and punching power. He is going to be a serious problem for anyone, including floyd. Floyd is not some invincible monster. This would be a tough match up for him. Maybe he doesn't destroy guys like Alexander, Guerrero, and Porter but I would be putting money on him getting victories over those guys because he can box. His defense tightens up when he feels a guy can punch and he uses his ring intelligence to properly set up his shots until he wears his opponent down. When was the last time a guy was knocking out rugged, durable welterweights as an up and comer? Its been a long time in this division. Margarito was the last one.

if he gets a title and beats an alexander/collazo/guerrero he will be more legit than maidana is now. maidana's big wins are against broner and ortiz. those could end up looking really weak in hindsight (the ortiz one looks so already). I know thurman is not getting the fight now and don't expect him to. He only has an outside chance of catching floyd for that 6th fight next september. I fully expect him to be undefeated with a championship around his waist at that time. And if team Mayweather uses any lame excuses at that time it will be a clear duck.

It's true, he's not ready at the moment.

But he's only 1 or 2 fights away from being in position.

Gotta scour the scene for robert guerreros, victor ortizes, and amir khans of the world.

There are plenty of top 15 fighters at welterweight who would be more than willing to fight Keith Thurman. Among them are Alexander and Guerrerro and, of course, Schafer could have made Khan/Thurman for May 3. Instead, he is putting Thurman in the ring agianst another mediocre opponent in the hopes that he will be able to get a fight against the best in the division without ever have fought a quality opponent. Sounds like the same script that Schafer used for Canelo Alvarez and Deontay Wilder. Alvarez held a championship belt for two years without fighting a 154-pound fighter, let alone his mandatory. Wilder is the mandatory opponent for a championship belt without ever have fought or beaten anyone ranked in the Top 20 in the heavyweight division.

Thank you Richard Schafer and Bob Arum for ruining boxing!

You can't blame Schaefer/Golden Boy for this. Maybe you can place the blame a little bit. But Robert Guerrero already turned down a fight with Thurman! Who's fault is that?

Khan probably had a choice of choosing Thurman and declined too. Khan has the ability to pick and choose his opponents too. He walked away from Alexander, said no to Kell Brook, and probably said NO to Thurman as well. Even Paulie Malignaggi turned down Thurman at one point a year ago, saying that Thurman won't sell tickets.

all of the above that you've just mentioned who are more proven than thurman and GGG...and when has floyd said he didn't want to fight thurman? each of those guys you've named besides khan(which is why he didn't get the fight) has put them selves in the position of getting a floyd by beating champions or becoming a mandatory. Combined, I don't even think GGG or thurman have beaten more than 2 people in the top 10-15....but floyd is suppose to give them a shot? lmao.

OK, I wouldn't bet my life savings (or even a really nice dinner) that Floyd would KO him, but it wouldn't shock me if a frustrated, loitering, or going straight back Thurman got KOed. That's not something I would say for Maidana (though he may very well end up frustrated and being led around all night).
