The hype is not commensurate to the level of fights he took. Take the case of Lopez, for instance. He fought Vargas, Ortiz, Alvarez, Maidana. Of course, he lost some of these fights. Would his record have been different if he had the types of opponents Thurman had?
It's not about hype. what's Hype? Nobody knows who keith Thurman is outside of hardcore boxing fans. We know how dangerous he is and apparently everyone in the WW division does too. But he does not bring money and is a very dangerous fighter. simple as that.

All Thurman needs to do is keep on putting exciting fights. Look at GGG. He is now getting Chavez jr. Thurman will get bigger fights if he keeps on winning and winning excitingly.

Question is why is Thurman, all of a sudden, calling them all out now? Is it because he's fed with low level opposition that boosted his confidence? Where was he when Lopez, as an example, were fighting monsters? Why was he not fed with monsters?

Maidana would never duck a hype job. Show a convincing proof where Maidana ducked this guy.

Judah would fight anyone but according to Schaefer it was offered to him. they ended up settling for Diaz - this was from a recent article published on BS.

But I don't think it makes sense with him coming off of a loss. They can do Thurman/Collazo (if he beats Khan) and Alexander/Judah on the same card as a WBA eliminator or something like that.
Alexander I think would fight him now - when he was champion I think he may have been more hesitant.

I would rather see Thurman fight a champion immediately (he is the interim/number 1 challenger) than some type of elimination bout, he has earned that right.

Haha Maidana's own team confirmed that they turned the fight down. Google it.

Pac, Bradley, and Provodnikov would fight him if he was with Top Rank.
Provodnikov won't even fight Rios at 140.

BoxingScene.com ran a story on Saturday where hard hitting Marcos Maidana’s fight with Keith Thurman, which was rumored to have fallen apart, was still being negotiated between Golden Boy Promotions and Maidana’s manager Sebastian Contursi. While Contursi and Golden Boy are indeed still in negotiations, it’s not for a possible Thurman fight for Maidana. Rather they are negotiating to find a replacement opponent for the Argentina native.

                    There you go mate.
