Showtime has giving us amazing fights like zab vs paulie, trout vs Lara, bhop vs ratty dude.
Showtime is owned by haymon, they'll have years of garbage in store for us. They gave a million to tarvar for his last fight. A god damn million $!
There is no way this is going good for them, there give you 3 fights in one night and 2 of them are guaranteed to be complete crap.

This **** is sad.
5 years ago if someone would have told me that there would be HBO and Showtime stans I would've laughed my **** off. Now I can only shed a tear for what the sport has deteriorated to.

Doesn't matter who's winning, both sides are promoting boxing so it's pointless to pick a favorite. IMO, Showtime has been more consistent recently but their production value isn't as good, and the panel of commentators - aside from Maliganaggi, aren't as informed as Lampley, Kellerman, or Merchant.Last edited by L3TH4L; 04-01-2014, 01:45 AM.

I like HBO's production and commentary more, and I feel they have a much more honest approach to analyzing the fighters, the refs, and the judges, and I appreciate that.
Let's face it, a big part of the appeal to fights is the coverage, and HBO simply has the edge there.
Not only that, but they seem to have more exciting and intriguing fights.

Stevenson decided to be weak and take the easy road, which Showtime is happy to offer.
