Not sure if it's a good idea for Gennady to jump to 168 and fight someone like Chavez though, what does Gennady walk around at?
I think he walks around at about his fighting weight of 170. Chavez Jr. could be close to 190 on fight night. In the past, when pressed, Golovkin has pushed his opponent off rather than engage on the inside. What happens if he cannot push Chavez off? I know Golovkin got the better of Chavez in sparring, but that was only sparring and Chavez has gotten better since then.

I agree Chavez has improved since that sparring session. This is going to be a really good fight and I will probably buy it.

So many damn PPVs this year

I cannot wait for this fight. Both guys have a lot of power and great chins. It should be a war. I see GGG stopping him on cuts.

Am I the only one who thinks that Chavez is just trying to cherry pick a smaller foe? This could go horribly wrong for him though.

I bet Chavez beats him to the hospital by like an hour.

I wouldn't call it that, but both ggg and Chavez had the option of fighting Ward and instead chose each other. Should be a good fight though.

I like how people on nsb like to call chavez jr a bum,and now that he chooses to fight the most hyped up fighter on nsb,now its not a good idea for ggg to move up and fight chavezjr 8 pounds north???.....chavez clearly put that boogeyman myth to rest and called out ggg,a fighter who everyone is so scared of right????....and if chavez jr is such a bum shouldnt ggg be able to walk right through him?cmon man with that b.s
