Adonis Stevenson Isn't That Good Nor Is His Resume

He is a good fighter,, but not a hall of fame caliber guy... So far in his career he has been iced by a club fighter journeymen, a bunch of solid wins over guys like George, cloud, etc.. And one career defining ko win over Dawson...

Good resume but pales in comparison to ward, serg, cotto etc...

He's a good fighter man, he's been steam rolling through the division. He's an older guy too. He put Dawson into a life altering place.

He destroyed Cloud, who is a decent to tough out for anyone.

He had good skills.

Pretty soon he'll fight Hopkins to cement his place in the division.

Well that's not true is it because he wasn't a tough fight at all for Hopkins, Campillo or Stevenson.

He's a tough out for bums.

I agree. Stevenson won the title mostly by being in the right place at the right time.

That Dawson KO certainly made him, but I rate Stevenson as a high quality fighter.

He's got the 'killer instinct.' An attribute that many fighters lack today. Couple that with his good boxing skills, great conditioning and tremendous punching power, you got a pretty ****in' scary fighter....

Oh and what about the Tarvoris Cloud win? He punished, stymied and pitched a virtual shutout against the top ranked Cloud

I don't rate him highly at all. Even Tony Bellew caused him a few issues and rocked him with a right hand.

Who has Cloud ever beat though. He got absolutely skilled by Hopkins. His best win other then that is Glen Johnson, who went on to lose 4 straight, and was clearly an aged and done fighter.

I don't rate the Cloud win that high, because I don't rate Cloud high. He clearly lost to Campillo, got his ass kicked by Hopkins, and then Stevenson beats him.

Stevenson has power and athleticism. I don't think he is very skilled at all, which is why I made this thread.

Adonis is a quality fighter and seems to be the real deal. He's definitely one of the very best in the division so that makes him a very good fighter.

Adonis is a good fighter, but thats about it, nothing special about him in the long run

Johnson isnt a can. Johnson had Dawson ready to go in their first fight.
