I follow Oscar on twitter , I don't think he like that Floyd undercard have other top name stars on then. this is probably costing the company too much money

Fcuking unreal how Wright somehow pulled this lie off. This is actually WORSE than "Leonard ducking Pryor" storyline.Comment

I've always thought of Winky as a entitled, spoiled brat with no fanbase (comparing him to Rigo) who wanted the red carpet rolled out in front of him.
But I didn't know that Oscar ever made him an offer. So, I retract my statement.Comment

Winky Wright turned down both De La Hoya and Arum's offer(for Floyd). So much misinformation here.
With that said, I doubt Arum was serious with putting Mayweather, a 140 pounder at the time, in with Winky a JMW, but he made the offer and Winky turned it down. Apparently Arum and Shaw had agreed to 50-50 split, but then Arum changed it 55-45 split in favor of Floyd, Shaw then said no deal. Dosn't sound like a duck, sounds like Arum being Arum. Those are the facts, there are articled backing this up. He also turned down DLH's offer and a Taylor rematch.
There was no ducking involved here, this was a combination of Arum playing games like always, and Shaw/Winky never agreeing with anything other than a 50-50 split with any fighter."I walked in, I told him: "I believe we have a deal,' " Shaw said. "And Bob said, "so it's a deal - 55-45 (money split)'.
"I said, "Bob, that was never, ever discussed, no deal' and that was that."
The day before, Shaw said he and Arum had agreed to a 50-50 purse split as well as other requests from Mayweather's camp. He added that Wright adviser Jim Wilkes and Don King, who has an option on Wright's next fight, agreed as well.
While Shaw said he agreed with just about all of the demands from the Mayweather team, principally regarding weight, he doesn't think the Detroit fighter, a former Olympian, was behind the breakdown.
"I think it's Arum," Shaw said. "When Floyd normally calls someone out, he's serious about fighting them."
"Remember, Floyd called Winky out; Winky didn't call Floyd out," Shaw said. "We were even willing to come down in weight to 154."Comment
